Carrington Institute Training

Combining a large number of offices, laboratories and hangars, the Carrington Institute's headquarters is well built and hidden from the outside world. All operations are planned and launched from here, with Daniel Carrington personally overseeing each mission from a link in his office. CI also has three training areas designed to give an agent experience in combat as well as the use of weapons and devices.

This experience can give you a much greater advantage out in the field, as you will already be familiar with your equipment. Once you beat all 32 weapons on gold as well as completing all 7 holo training and 10 devices you will gain access to the special mission The Duel. Featured here are three guides to help you go through the training activities successfully.

Firing Range

The firing range allows you to try out all the various weapons available in the game. You can try them out at ease and in a non-combat situation. Each weapon will be activated once you find one in the single player solo missions, and each has three difficulty levels, bronze, silver and gold. You will have a certain time limit to reach the individual goals for each weapon, including targets destroyed, accuracy and an overall score. The guides below will assist you with the completion of each weapon's difficulty levels.

Falcon 2

Perfect Dark Firing Range Falcon 2.
Bronze

Goal Score: 120
Time Limit: 2m 0s
Just aim at the center of the first target and keep firing until the target blows, then reload and do the same to either the left or right one to reach the score.

Silver

Goal Score: 80
Time Limit: 15s
When the target begins to move, follow it and keep firing to try and hit the center while its moving. Once it stops wait until it spins around to fire again. Once the first target blows, repeat the same for the second target.

Gold

Goal Score: 170
Time Limit: 10s
Ammo Limit: 24
Stand on the right so that you can rip into the targets that are moving backward. Stand directly in front of the moving target and fire into its center rapidly to score big points and reach the score limit within the allotted time.

Falcon 2 (silencer)

Aim at the center of the first target, fire once and wait as it will spin around. When it faces you again, rip into the center of it, and the target will blow after eight shots. Use the same tactic on the second one to finish.

Stand in front of one of the three lines of targets, then wait until the targets spin around, fire three shots, it should take out all three targets. Repeat for the other two sets.

Gold

The three targets will slide across the room together and will spin away from you once they stop. Sidestep and follow the targets as they move, and keep firing at them. Do not worry if you miss the center, you should still get enough points. Keep firing at them until all three targets are gone.

Stand on the left and rip into the first target as it moves toward you. Wait for it to pass and as it begins to move back to its starting point, it will be moving slowly so rip into it before it speeds up. Repeat for the second target.

Gold

You will need to get a perfect score on this one, fire at the target before it starts moving, and once it stops moving, rip into it before it moves, you should not have too much trouble - just be accurate.

Laptop Gun

Just fire away at the center of a target to reach the score.

All three targets will be permanently facing away from you, position the cross-hair in one of the gaps and deploy the laptop sentry gun. If the gun bounces out past the targets it will blast them apart one at a time, making this one of the easiest challenges!

Stand on the left and rip into the first target. it will move out of the way, but keep firing at the one behind it. Choose two targets to destroy and rip into them, but fire at the third one to give you extra points. Keep firing and you should reach the score within the limit.

AR34

Fire at the first two targets until they blow, then fire at the last one to reach the score.

Fire at each target as they move away or toward you, and keep firing at the ones that appear. Each target should only take about 15 shots to destroy, so you should not run out of ammo before destroying them all.

Gold

This one is definitely the hardest challenge of them all, you will need to get 100% accuracy and a score of 500 within 20 seconds, with only a far-off moving target to hit. You will need to use the secondary fire so that you can move while zoomed in, you will need to follow the target while firing away at it all the time. Work out the two positions in which the target stops moving, and make sure you stop when it does, otherwise you will miss it. This one will take a while to beat.

RC-P120

Just blast away at the center of the motionless target to reach the score.

Silver

Goal Score: 300
Time Limit: 20s
You will need to use the secondary fire to cloak, then you will notice the three targets will spin around slowly to face you. Blast away at one until it blows, then wait until you automatically re-cloak and wait until the remaining two face you, then fire away at one to finish.

Gold

Goal Targets: 9
Time Limit: 20s
Ammo Limit: 180
Cloak again to make the front three targets spin around, fire at them, but this time they will only need a few shots before they blow. Re-cloak to finish them off, then switch back to normal fire. Blast away at the remaining targets, you should just be able to destroy them all within the time limit.

Laser

Just aim at the center of any target and rip into it to reach the score easily.

You will need to sidestep and follow the target as it moves across the screen. Try to get as many bulls-eyes as possible otherwise you will run out of time. This one will take some practice to beat.

Gold

Time Limit: 20s
Start in front of the left target and rip into it is center. Fire exactly 12 shots into each target to destroy them and make sure that you do not miss at all. Destroy the middle target then finish off with the third. This challenge is surprisingly easier than silver.

Lock-on to a target and blast away at it, stand on the right or left as the targets line up with each other so you can hit more than one at a time. Keep locking on to targets and do not worry about losing ammo.

DY357 Magnum

Shoot at the center of the first target and then wait until it spins around to face you. Fire once each time it faces you - the Magnum's fire rate is too slow to get in two shots. Repeat on the second target to reach the score.

You will only have three shots here, so you need to be accurate. Stand directly in front of one row of targets and aim at the center of it. Fire, and you should be able to blast all three targets and get three bulls-eye's. Repeat on the other two sets of targets to get the score.

This time you will only have five shots, but the targets will be spinning around in random order. Stand on the left and as soon as the front target spins around, fire at its center and you should hit all three. Move to the center and wait for the front target to face away from you, then fire at it once it faces you. If you miss the targets behind, just fire at them and you should reach the score if you can get bulls-eyes.

DY357-LX

Just fire at the center of the target as it moves toward you and wait until it stops before firing again. Finish off the second target after the first one blows.

Stand on the right and shoot any target that stops moving in front of you. This one is fairly easy, each target will move back and forth and stop on each side of the screen, giving you plenty of time to hit them.

Gold

This one is difficult, you will have to time it right to beat it. First, stand in the center of the screen and make sure that you are lined up with the center of the target but face directly forward. You can pick of one shot before it starts moving. As it moves across the screen, do not move and fire as it moves across and with a little practice you should get a bulls-eye. Keep firing at it this way until you reach the score, again, you will need practice before getting this one out.

Shotgun

Perfect Dark Firing Range Shotgun.

Use the double-blast and fire at each target, each one will take two blasts before exploding. Repeat on the remaining targets to finish off.

Silver

Stand in the center of the screen and use the double-blast function. Once the targets move across fire and you should take out more than one. Fire only when the targets cross each other, you should be able to destroy them all easily before the time runs out.

Gold

Use double-blast and fire at the target when it moves. You should get both shots in and score heaps of points, if you are accurate it will only take four blasts to reach the score.

K7 Avenger

Just zoom in and fire away at the motionless target, once it blows repeat for the next two targets to reach the score.

Use the threat detector to identify the explosive targets, and fire at the targets with the red squares around them. They will explode and take any nearby targets with them. Just make sure that you only tap fire, otherwise you will accidentally waste ammo - remember it is a rapid fire weapon.

Gold

This one is difficult and will take a few tries. There is three targets and you will only have 30 rounds to blast them with. Each target needs ten rounds, so you will need to fire exactly ten bullets into each, otherwise you will run out of ammo. Try slowly firing when you get close to 15 and 5 rounds remaining in the clip, then blast the last one.

Dragon

Just blast away at one target and wait until it spins around, then continue. Once the first target blows, keep firing at a second one to finish off.

Stand in front of the target on the left and deploy the proximity dragon in front of it. Eventually the target will move close to it and detonate the Dragon, blowing itself up in the process.

Gold

Sidestep and follow one of the moving targets while blasting away at it is center. do not worry if the other one gets in the way, just fire at it to get more points. Ignore the rear targets and you should reach the score quickly.

Super Dragon

Use the grenade launcher and fire at the ground near the targets when they face you to blast all three with one shot. Do the same for the next two far-off sets to destroy them all.

Gold

Ammo Limit: 60/4
Use primary fire on the center motionless target, then use the grenade launcher on the moving targets. Once the two front moving targets stop, fire at the ground to destroy them, but for the far-off targets, aim just above them and fire to make the distance. You will need to practice aiming grenades before beating this one.

Rocket Launcher

Stand in the center of the screen and fire at the middle target. When you aim at it a red square will appear around it, helping your aim. Repeat for the next two farther-off sets of targets, and always aim at the middle one.

Stand on the left and fire at each target as it moves toward you. do not use lock-on as it will fly too slowly to hit them. Just keep firing at each target as it comes toward you to easily destroy them all.

Gold

Four direct shots will win this one for you. The four targets will be moving around a lot, start with the closest two, but do not ever use targeted rockets as it is too slow to reach them in time. Once the first two are gone, it will be difficult to successfully hit the two rear targets, but try to stand directly in front of them and fire just before they stop moving. This one might take a while to beat.

Devastator

Aim near the ground in front of the first three targets and the grenade should destroy them all if it lands close. Aim high above the three far-off targets to reach them.

Silver

You will need to time your shots right to get this one out. First, stand in front of the left or right targets moving toward and away from you. Switch to wall hugger, and fire at the target as it comes toward you. If timed right, the grenade should stick to the target and then explode once it gets close to the three targets right at the back. This should hopefully detonate them, then you can easily destroy the remaining moving targets.

You will need to hit each target successfully or you will run out of ammo. First, aim above the far-off targets to hit them, and aim at the ground to hit the close targets. Practice will be required to aim properly.

Maian

Stand on the right and shoot the target before it begins moving. Once the two targets move, wait there until the first one returns, then rip into it. Once it blows, another target will appear on the left. Use the new one to reach the score.

Stand in the center of the screen and switch to explosive shells. As the targets move in front of you, fire at them and they should take a few hits to blow. More will appear in different positions but they will all move back and forth across the screen. Make sure you hit a target with each shot otherwise you will run out of ammo.

There are two ways you can win here, the first is if you stand in the center of the screen and fire when the targets cross each other with explosive shells, but this way its very easy to miss. The other way is to stand on the left or right in line with one row of targets and wait a few seconds before firing at one. If you time it right, the other target will move across and get caught in the explosion as well, making this one much easier to beat.

Callisto NTG

Three targets in front of you will be permanently facing away from you while a target behind them will be moving back and forth. Once the target stops moving, shoot at it between the gaps of the closer targets, and keep firing at it until it blows.

Gold

A large group of targets will be spinning around, just fire at one of the closest until it blows, then fire at a second one until it blows, just make sure that you aim at the center of each one to reach the score.

FarSight XR-20

Stand to the right and aim at the farthest target so that they are all lined up. Zoom in on the last target and fire at its center. You should damage all of them and after three shots they will all blow together.

The closest row of targets will always face away from you, so stand on the left, zoom in so that you focus on the row of targets right at the back, then fire at it. If nothing happens, wait until it spins around and then shoot it. You should destroy the closer target as well as the rear one. Repeat for the other two sets of targets to reach the score.

Use the charged-up shot mode to easily destroy each target with one shot, but make sure that the gun is fully charged before firing, and do not waste any ammo, otherwise you will run out.

Gold

This one will be difficult, as you will need to switch between primary and secondary fire a lot. First, stand on the right and hit the first target with a fully charged shot. Once it blows, rapidly fire at the target behind it until the clip runs out, and while you are reloading, quickly switch back to primary fire, and finish off the target once it faces you. Repeat for the other two sets of targets, this one might take a few tries.

Reaper

Kneel down and aim at the first target, slowly fire at it once it faces you. Ease off once it spins around, and slowly fire at it when it faces you. Repeat for the other two once each one blows, but this one will probably take more than a minute to beat, as this weapon is extremely inaccurate and messy.

Stand up and fire away at each target as it appears, they will take less ammo to destroy than before, but you will need to destroy a lot of them. Keep sidestepping and do not stop firing, you should easily get this one out.

Follow and fire away at the target on the left and keep firing at it once it moves across the screen, fire at the one next to it as they move away from you. Concentrate on them and blast away to destroy one of them quickly. Fire at the second one, if it blows use the third one to reach the score. This one might take a while to beat.

Slayer

Use the fly-by-wire rocket and fire toward the first target. Direct the rocket toward it, but if its going too fast, hold A to slow it down, release to speed up. You can hit the target if its facing away from you, because it will spin around and get caught in the explosion. Repeat on the other targets to complete this challenge.

Fire a secondary rocket and try to follow a target around while it moves, if you can get in front of one, it will hit the rocket from behind and detonate. You can also direct the rocket toward a target and press fire to detonate the rocket and blow up the target. Try to hit them as they stop, but remember to slow the rocket down with A to direct it properly.

Stand in the middle of the screen and fire a secondary rocket. Try to get in close to the targets as they move across the screen, then press fire to detonate the rocket and blow the target. Do the same for the rear targets, you should be able to destroy two at a time with only one rocket each.

Wait for the targets to stop moving, then throw a knife at the center of each one. One blast will destroy the targets, so you should get many bulls-eyes. Try to stand in front of them as they stop - it will greatly increase your accuracy.

Crossbow

Just fire at any target but make sure that when you reload, it reloads the entire weapon, not just one bolt.

Once again, just fire at the center of a target and make sure that you fully reload and do not waste too many bolts.

Gold

Time Limit: 30sStand on the right and fire off one shot into the target before it moves. You must get bulls-eyes always otherwise you will run out of time. Once the target flips around to face you, fire into it, but move the cross-hair around a bit, because sometimes you will hit one of the other bolts and not score anything. Reload only after the clip runs out, and you should only need to use three clips of bolts to reach the score in time. This one will take a while to beat.

Cyclone

Just fire away at any target until it blows then fire at another to reach the score.

Silver

Goal Targets: 5
Time Limit: 20s
Fire away at each target and wait until it blows before moving. Switch to another target and keep firing even if you are clip is not full - only reload after emptying the clip. You should be able to just make it within the time limit.

Gold

Goal Score: 400
Goal Targets: 1
Time Limit: 18s
Stand in the center of the screen and fire away at the far-off target, but do not worry if the two moving ones get in the way, they will just give you more points as you hit them. Once the moving targets blow just keep firing at the center one.

Grenade

Aim low in front of the first target so that the grenade will stop moving underneath it, and aim above the far-off targets to reach them. Unfortunately, sometimes the grenade will mysteriously disappear when it hits the ground, just throw another if this happens.

Silver

Once again, aim low for close targets and high for far-off ones. You might need to practice aiming before completing this one, but sometimes when you destroy targets, others will appear near the explosion and blow up instantly, making it easier to destroy them all.

Gold

Ammo Limit: 6
Stand on the left and throw a proximity pinball at the target as it moves away from you back to its starting position. The grenade should blow and take the target with it. Repeat for the second target, then switch back to primary fire. Stand on the left and quickly throw a grenade low on the ground so it detonates when the target is still. Repeat for the last one to finish off. This one might take a while to beat.

MagSec 4

Shoot the target as it faces you, and try to get as many shots in before it spins around. After nine shots the target will blow, then finish off the second one.

Shoot each target as it faces you, but be careful and make sure that the moving target is not in the way when you fire. Try to get as many bulls-eye's as possible, as each target will blow after about three shots.

Gold

Stand on the left and aim at the center of the first target. Switch to secondary fire and fire at each target as it moves in front of you. You should easily blast each target as it passes, just make sure that you are aiming at the center otherwise you will not get the required score.

Throw a mine at the center target when it moves toward you, hopefully when it detonates it should destroy all but the closest moving target. If it does not throw one up high so it lands on the floor near the rear target to blow it up. To finish off the closest target, just throw a mine at it when it is not moving and wait until it blows.

Mine (Remote)

Throw a mine at the center target and detonate it by using secondary fire or by pressing A and B together.

Throw a mine up high so that it lands between the two far-off targets, then detonate it once they stop moving. For the closer targets, throw a mine on the roof just above them, then blow them once they stop moving.

Throw a mine at the center target, then detonate it once it lands. To destroy the two far-off targets, just throw one toward them and detonate it in mid-air once the targets move across each other.

Just throw a mine at the center target, and wait for it to explode, taking all three targets with it.

Stand in front of the center target and throw a mine at it as it moves away from you. it will be moving very fast so as it comes back the mine will land on it. The mine should hopefully detonate when the target is furthest from you, and will take out the three rear targets. If it does not destroy the remaining two moving targets, just throw a mine on the ground between them to destroy them.

Once again, throw a mine at the center moving target, but you will need to time it right so that the mine explodes and destroys the rear targets as well as the moving ones. This one might take a few tries.

Use the secondary fire to crouch down, then zoom right in to accurately hit the targets in the center. Once one blows use another to reach the score.

Just use the same tactic as before, but make sure that you aim properly and this one should be easy to beat.

Gold

Goal Score: 150
Time Limit: 12s
Ammo Limit: 15
Stand up and begin with the left target. Zoom right in and fire five shots per target to destroy them, but make sure that you always get bulls-eyes and do not waste any ammo, as you will need a perfect score to beat this one. Quickly line up with the other two targets and destroy them as quickly as possible. This one might take a while to beat.

Tranquilizer

Perfect Dark Firing Range Tranquilizer.
Bronze

Goal Score: 120
Time Limit: 2m 0s
Just fire into the center of any moving target, stand on the left or right to easily get bulls-eyes.

Silver

Goal Score: 250
Time Limit: 20s
Quickly fire into the center of each target as it faces you to score big points, each target will blow after you empty a clip. Be very quick as you will only have 20 seconds to reach the score.

Gold

Goal Score: 18
Time Limit: 15s
Ammo Limit: 18s
Stand in the center of the screen and use aim to fire at each target. Each one will take one shot to destroy, and make sure that you do not miss any, otherwise you will run out of ammo. Try to shoot each target quickly as they appear, you should be able to destroy them all just within the time limit.

Holo VR Training

The HR Training allows you to practice moving around, activating switches and fighting in hand-to-hand combat. There are 7 different training stages available, and each one becomes harder to complete than the previous. This section will help you to beat all 7 stages.

Looking Around

Just search around the room for the four switches and look toward them to activate them. Two should be on the roof and the other two on the walls.

Movement 1

You will need to activate two switches that are surrounded by laser beams. First, crouch down and crawl under the beams on your left to reach the first switch. For the second one, you will need to crouch right down to make it under the beams.

Movement 2

You have to activate four switches on the far wall quickly before they reset themselves. First, go up to the switch on the far left, activate it, then quickly strafe right and activate each switch as you pass them.

Unarmed Combat 1

First, knock out the guard standing in front of you. Another guard will appear and he will run around randomly. Knock him out at your leisure. The last guard will charge at you and try to hit you. Punch him out before he gets a chance.

Unarmed Combat 2

This one is a little tricky. First, switch to Disarm and knock out the first guard standing in front of you. Next, go behind the wall so that the moving guard cannot see you, wait a few seconds, then rush out and knock him out from behind.

For the last one, hide behind the wall because he will be firing at you. If you have any ammo from the Falcon 2's that you picked up from the other two guards, use it, otherwise you will just have to dash out and rip into him while circling around him to dodge his fire.

Live Combat 1

Four unarmed guards in each corner of the room will come charging at you. Just knock out each one without getting hit to beat this stage.

Live Combat 2

This is a tough one and will take a few tries. First, strafe left to hide behind the wall before the guards can fire. Wait for the two unarmed guards to come at you, then knock 'em out. Go up to the edge of the wall closest to the armed guards, then fly out and quickly disarm the closest guard.

Rush back behind the wall before you get hit, then take out the Falcon 2 you just picked up. Go to the edge of the wall and lean out to blast the last two guards, but make sure to hide behind the wall quickly before they get a chance to hit you as you cannot get hit at all during this last stage.

Device Training

The device training allows you to familiarize yourself with the several devices that you will need to complete certain missions with. Each device will have a unique objective, from hacking into a terminal to finding a hidden door. This section will assist you to complete all 10 devices.

Data Uplink

Pick up the Data Uplink from the table, select it from the Quick-Menu, then walk over to the lone terminal in the corner of the room, press B and face it until the Uplink is finished.

ECM Mine

Pick up the mine, then go through the secret door to your left. Walk forward, then turn right at the corridor and walk all the way to the end of the hallway. Aim at the console in the small room in front of you and throw a mine at it.

CamSpy

Pick up the CamSpy, face away from the table, then select it from your inventory. Once it is activated, fly it through the secret door and then turn it left. Go to the end of the hallway into the air duct, then follow the duct until you find a brown door. Send the CamSpy up to it and the door will open automatically. You should now be in the Hacker Central room. Go up to one of the terminals and press Z to take a photo.

Night Vision

Pick up the Night Vision and go through the secret door. Go left and enter the dark room in front of you. Activate the Night Vision, go over to the wall on the right and press B to turn on the light switch.

Door Decoder

Pick up the decoder and go through the secret door. Go right, then go forward and then through the hallway on the left. Face the console next to the door and press Z or B to attach the decoder to it.

R-Tracker

Pick up the R-Tracker and activate it. Go through the secret door, then head to the door next to the console you used the decoder on. Go though the door, then go forward and go through the second opening on the left wall. Follow the path to find the IR Scanner.

IR Scanner

Pick up the IR Scanner and activate it. Go through the secret door, then head through the second door. Go through the first opening on the left of the long hallway, then make your way down the corridors. You should eventually see part of the wall highlighted. Press B to open the door.

X-Ray Scanner

Pick up the X-Ray Scanner, then head to the door that you found with the IR Scanner. Once you get there, activate the X-Ray and head through the door. Once you enter the room with the laser beams blocking your way, look at the walls on the left and right to find the consoles. Activate both of them to turn the beams off.

Disguise

Pick up the disguise and select it from your inventory. Head through the secret door and go left to the air ducts. Crouch down and make your way to the Hacker Central room. Open the door and walk up to Grimshaw to get the Cloaking Device (If you want, you can rip into him with your fists, but he will just ignore you and take no damage!).

Cloaking Device

Pick up the Cloaking Device and head to the room that used to have the laser beams active. Once you get there, activate the CD and hurry through past the security camera hiding in the hallway just ahead. Once you reach the end of the tunnel, open the door and you will be in Carrington's office. Go up to him and turn the CD off to finish the device training.

Gadgets and Vehicles

Strange and handy devices make up an agent's inventory. Unusual furturistic devices will help players to complete mission objectives successfully. Most of the devices listed below have unique designs, with some based on real-life technology. The various vehicles found in the game all have one thing in common - they utilize some sort of anti-gravity unit to allow them to hover in the air. Found below are detailed descriptions of all the devices and vehicles.

Gadgets
Data Uplink

The Data Uplink provides an electronic link from field missions back to the CI's hackers, who can tap into just about any security codes to unlock doors to secure areas, or download secret files from a terminal. To use it, stand next to a terminal or the object and press B while holding the uplink. Face and stay near the object to avoid having the connection severed.

ECM Mine

This device emits a constantly changing signal which can jam any electronic communications device for some time, effective for disrupting security systems. It must be placed directly on the object or terminal to take effect. Use the aiming function to accurately aim the mine, then press Z to throw it.

CamSpy

A tiny remote camera designed for stealth recording and movement. Uses highly advanced spectroscopic holography and can send recorded images or video straight back to the CI's headquarters for file recording. It has a minature AG unit built in so it can hover above the ground, and can also emit a human-sized pulse of heat to open electronic doors. Raise and lower the camera with C up and down, and press Z to take a photo. Hold R to look around the device. Two other variations of the CamSpy are available, the DrugSpy, which replaces the camera with a sedate dart launcher, and the BombSpy, which has a built-in explosive device.

Night Vision

The Night Vision will allow you to be able to see in visually dark areas. Moving life forms and items will be highlighted to be easily viewed. The Night Vision will overload in brightly-lit areas, it will completely cause the screen to go white, and you won't be able to see anything, so only use it in dark areas. Select it from one of the menus to activate it, reselect it to deactivate.

Door Decoder

This is an independant code-breaking device. Once attached to a console it will sort through the millions of possbile code combinations until it manages to break the lock. The downfall is that for the more advanced locks, it may take some time to break through. Stand next to the console and press B while holding the decoder to attach it to the console.

R-Tracker

This device will locate a particaular object on the HUD radar map. Once activated, it will display a radar in the top right corner of the screen, your position will be in the center of the circle, and the object will be shown as well, giving its relative bearing and distance.

IR Scanner

This scanner transduces thermal data into visible images for the user to interpret. It can also be used in dark areas to reveal objects and also detects unusual structures such as weak walls and hidden doors. This will also highlight any life forms or special objects, and will reveal their location even if they are wearing a cloaking device by detecing their body heat. Select from inventory to activate, reselect to deactivate it.

X-Ray Scanner

This can be used to look through solid walls and objects. It can reveal the location of guards without having your cover blown. Do not use it in a combat situation, though, as you won't be able to see objects a few feet in fornt of you. Select to activate, reselect to deactivate.

Disguise

Sneak right under the noses of guards within enemy installations without alerting suspicion with various disguises. Remember, do not draw any weapons for the enemy to see otherwise you'll blow your cover and alert enemies. To wear it, just select it from your inventory.

Cloaking Device

This Skedar-based device disrupts the visible spectrum of light around the user, causing them to become almost completely invisible. Be careful though, as the field will disengage when you fire a weapon, and will take a few seconds to re-activate. Select it to cloak, reselect to reappear.

Vehicles
Jumpship

This highly maneuverable fast craft was designed for use in urban areas. Used primarily for the successful deployment of agents to field missions, this ship can be computer controlled or manually piloted, being exceptionally effective when in the hands of a skilled pilot. It can carry from three to four agents including heavy equipment. It is the CI's craft of choice for agent deployment.

Jumpship

This highly maneuverable fast craft was designed for use in urban areas. Used primarily for the successful deployment of agents to field missions, this ship can be computer controlled or manually piloted, being exceptionally effective when in the hands of a skilled pilot. It can carry from three to four agents including heavy equipment. It is the CI's craft of choice for agent deployment.

HoverCrate

This gravity-defying unit allows heavy crates to hover above the ground to be easily directed around by warehouse workers. The unit is attached to the side of the crate. Press B once while standing next to one to grab it, press B again to release.

HoverBike

A low altitude patrol bike, it utilizes a small AG unit to hover above the ground, and a small powerful turbine engine for thrust and directional control. Double tap B while standing next to one to board it, double tap B a second time to jump off.

Cleaning Hovbot

This device is mainly used by large corporations to keep areas clean and tidy. They are harmless and will move around the floor while attending to their tasks. It's a good idea to leave them alone, as they often will allow you to gain access through secure doors not normally accessible.

Hovercopter

A patrol ship used in urban areas, this craft is a two-pilot ship and is armed with a heavy Vulcan cannon, as well as two wing-mounted dumbfire missile launchers. It is possible to destroy it with heavy firepower, but its real weakness is a well aimed rocket.

G5 Robot

An intelligent combat droid designed for urban warfare, this uses an AG unit to hover and is armed with two mini-Vulcan cannons. Some models have built-in shield systems, making them almost invincible to gunfire. They are often used to keep out unwanted visitors, and will shoot at any enemy target, it doesn't know how to take prisoners.

A51 Interceptor

A remote or computer controlled version of the HoverBike, this model has a more powerful AG unit allowing it to fly around several meters off the ground. With its powerful turbine engine, it can easily reach Mach 2 speeds. A heavily armed guardbot, it can easily take out any ship in the air, but it lacks defensive armor and shielding.

Maian Vessel

A single piloted Maian scout and patrol vessel, it is effective in providing escort and defense for important Maian ambassadors, and is also used for long distance interstellar travel. As it is only designed for one Maian, a human would find it quite cramped in the cockpit.

Skedar Shuttle

A heavily armed and shielded Skedar attack ship, this craft can carry up to ten fully armed Skedar into battle. It can also cloak itself from most radar systems, giving them the element of surpise against the enemy. The ship also has a powerful radio jamming device, it can send out a large electromagnetic pulse that disables any communication and detection equipment nearby.
