In this mission, you are going to get to destroy a Corvette and a submarine, along with some fuel tanks for good measure. This is all done in a night raid on a Russian naval base, to throw the Ultranationalists military strength into an uproar.

Mission Objectives
  • Destroy Corvette
  • Destroy submarine
  • Return to extraction zone
  • X. Destroy fuel tanks
  • Destruction of fuel tanks: Unlocks hidden soldier for next mission
Sink the Corvette

Keep on both sides directly from the insertion zone. The north part of the docks is patrolled by three enemy soldiers, and the Corvette is guarded by five Russians. The first thing you have to do is sink the Corvette, and it is impossible to pass easily by the three soldiers without looking suspicious. Have your weapons ready.

When you start at the insertion zone, you are below the dock, so you have a significant amount of cover. Choose someone in your troop with a machine gun or sniper rifle, and take out the three enemy soldiers from afar. Climb the primary ramp until the tip of your gun sits on the dock.

It might be hard to see the five Russians by the Corvette, so begin with the three soldiers when they come closest to you. defeat them, and then move back to the right and concentrate on the soldiers at the Corvette. These guys like to throw grenades at you, and then come at you in the disorder. Watch out for the guy who likes to send out machine gun fire. You might have to dodge the crates that are all over the dock, but you can still defeat the enemy.

When you defeat all eight men, go to the Corvette. Get your demolitions expert to the front of the ship's deck and situate your first demo charge. You have three charges and three targets, so you can't miss!

On to the Fuel Tanks

Go south through cargo holds. There are two groups of two men ahead. You need to see them first because one man from each group has a grenade launcher. do not look away for a second, or your team could be blown to pieces. Look for them after the third section of cargo holds.

There are three guards wandering about the center of the map, making their rounds in the office parking lot. You must be careful here. Snipe them if you think you can do it without bringing other guards along. If not, just sneak by them and they may not even be there when you come back.

You must destroy the fuel tanks from the southwest. There are three guards watching the entry ramp. One is in the booth to the left, and two are walking along the chain-link fence. Lay flat on the ground and use your scope for range. Crawl in for a good shot. Shoot the two outside guards first, because the one in the booth is a difficult shot, and you do not want to draw attention trying to isolate the guard in the booth.

You need to be patient while under the fuel tanks. The enemy can effortlessly sneak up the eastern ramp and trap you before you know it. It is also hard to see when you are standing or ducking. The smartest thing to do would be to lay flat on the western side and watch for movement. Four enemies defend the fuel tanks, but are split into two teams. At least two of them approach the tanks. Have your sniper get rid of them. The second team is far behind.

The Submarine

The eastern side dock should be practically deserted now, so you know something must be wrong. The enemy has planned two surprise attacks. One is in the underground complex where the submarine is, and the other is on your trip back to the extraction zone. You get rid of the second one on the way to the first one.

Before you get to the submarine complex, there is a building on the south that has some kind of radioactive matter. This radiation is not dangerous. What is dangerous, however, is the attack you are about to get from the guards. If the alarm is triggered, these four guards, as well as the four from the office structure, come onto the docks and demolish everything on them. So you might consider getting them out of the way before they notice you.

The next entrance to the north is the submarine tunnel. There are eight guards surrounding you, and it is very hard to see them here. You have to move rapidly.

do not zoom in any close combat fight because you can lose peripheral vision, which is very important.

Turn right, as there is someone ready to shoot you, so get out of the doorway. There is no enemy on the left, so just get rid of the guy to your right. Two guards come for you, and more will follow. There is a steel catwalk above you that gives them easy access. Get into a protective position after you take them out. You can get behind the right corner wall's thick cover.

Now is when you need to bring Bravo in to clean out the enemy. When Bravo comes in, move Alpha down the perimeter or climb the closest ladder. If Bravo does not find the enemy, you will by circling them for a better shot.

With your threat practically gone, you can bring in your demolitions expert to put the last charge on the submarine.

Making Your Escape

There should only be four more enemies to face before you finish. As you exit the submarine hangar, look to your right and find two guards patrolling the northern dock wing. You may have gotten rid of them on your way south, or on your way to the sub, but if not, make sure you shoot them before they get you. You still have four guards ahead of you.

The four guards spread and try to take you out, or shoot a grenade at you. Send your team outside, and get down so everyone can get a shot in. If you have time, you can get Bravo out too.

If your mission did not end as perfectly, you can always start it over. Sometimes, though, you would rather just deal with the loss of one of your men than go through another battle like the one at the submarine.
