The weather is against you. Some tough battles are ahead here. If you survive you have to baby sit a tank! Hey, at least the benefits are good.
Mission Objectives
- Secure Village
- Negate East Artillery
- Negate West Artillery
- X. Protect Tank
Time out!
The moment you start this mission you are under heavy fire. You are dropped into the middle of a large firefight with two teams of three gunners from the north and a team of two from the east. The only cover available to you is a small shack and stone wall directly northeast of you.
Slam into the corner and get down. You have some small cover here. To your right a group of six enemies try to sneak over the hill. Try to get as many of them as possible as they move across the hill. If you miss they move to the second hill on the left and possibly start throwing grenades.
Deal with the enemies on the hill first paying no mind to those in the east. The shack gives you full cover against them. Drop them fast then swing around to give support to Alpha. Leave Bravo where they stand. In that position they can lend support against enemies from the north. There is also a giant crater in the ground to the east that enemies will take pot shots at you from. Take them out before they get lucky and hit you.
Up In The Sky!
Gather up the team and send Bravo to the north road. An American Tank will appear at the western end of the road and goes to the eastern end of the map. Keep Bravo protecting the tank with cover fire. This means constantly updating their position as it moves.
Take Alpha northeast to the road. Position yourself in front of the tank and take out the resistance around it. Some have anti tank rockets so be sure to strike hard and fast. Move past the gap in the rock wall to see American Air Support bomb an enemy tank in the east.
As you approach a hill before the road, take a unit with grenades and pepper the church courtyard to the east. There are three enemies, one with anti tank rockets. If you do not get them all simply gun down the rest and ignore the tank. Your tank will blow it as it passes.
Rush Hour
As your tank continues to roll at it is slow pace it enters a small village that ambushes it. Send Alpha and Bravo in, each on a different side of the street and in different directions. Unload grenades onto every building in the area. Watch the first structure on the north side. It houses three soldiers. Take them out then head to the second structure on the south side. This structure has a grenade trooper and an anti tank rocket gunner. As soon as they rise to hit the tank, take them out. If you let them fire the tank is gone! When they are dead run for the last building on the left. Three more enemies appear, another with a rocket.
Guns From The East
The Eastern artillery is the least patrolled of the two and is your next objective. Head southwest to the most distant pack of rocks. Be sure to defeat any soldiers that appear as you move north. Stop at the eastern border of the map and get a clear view of the artillery. If you are very careful you can position against the artillery before it gets any idea you are there. Open fire as soon as you have clear shots and take it apart.
Guns From The West
The western artillery is a tad more complex but is another target you should take with no problem. Two patrols cover the area in front of the gun. Drop the patrol then head up the side of the mountain. You get the drop on the enemy most of the time. Use this to your advantage and rend them apart. If you take fire it is probably from the north behind the rocks. Keep your sights here as you progress. Find an open shot at the gun and blow it to scrap. That seals objective three and gets you another signed check.
