6.2 Deep Sea Nullify Threat
Agent
1. Reactivate teleportals
You will start out in a large ante-chamber connected to the Cetan ship. Go forward down the tunnel and through the large door. Activate the IR Scanner and head over to the next large door. Wait for Elvis to catch up, then open the door and head into the huge cavern. Several cloaked guards will run around with Shotguns, keep moving to dodge their fire, and keep the IR Scanner on so that you can see them. Don't worry about shooting them, Elvis will pound each one with his FarSight, just make sure he does not take a beating from them. The ruins of the Cetan ship will be on right, head over to the large circular door to get in.
Open the door, take out the Shotgun with double-blast active, then open the next door. Two guards will start running around, try to hit them with Shotgun blasts before Elvis arrives. Head into the corridor and finish off the remaining guards on the left and right. Once they are gone, switch off the IR Scanner and head right, past the dead Skedar and down the long ramp. Guards with CMP150's will be patrolling around, blast them and grab their weapons. Once at the bottom of the ramp you should see a door at the end of the corridor and an opening leading down on the left wall. Finish off the guards and head down the opening in the wall.
You will be in a maze-like area, blast any guards patrolling around, and follow the path to lead you to the teleportal control room. Some openings will lead to dead-ends, explore around to find your way there, just remember the way back. Once you reach the control room, blast the two guards and the Mr Blonde guard, then Elvis will run up to the console to reactivate the teleportals, once he is finished you will have completed objective 1.
2. Disable Cetan megaweapon
Head back to the main corridor (you can go once Elvis begins working on the console) and go through the large door at the end of the hallway. If you take your time, two cloaked guards with CMP150's will appear, switch on the IR Scanner and knock them down. Go through the door and you will reach a corridor with two hallways leading off left and right. Head left to find a shield at a dead-end, then head down the right hallway. Go through the door and you should see a teleportal straight ahead. Run over to it to teleport to the next area, Elvis will automatically follow you. Once you reappear, Elvis will give you his FarSight and you will be in another long corridor.
Take out the CMP150 and head down the corridor. Some mini-Skedar might drop out of the ceiling, Elvis will use a Phoenix against them but the CMP150's lock-on greatly helps. Stay with Elvis and make sure he does not get mauled by the Skedar, you should eventually reach another large door. Go through and you will be in a gigantic cylinder-shaped room with a huge hole in the center. Head around the platform to the other side, just be careful of the mini-Skedar jumping out of the holes in the walls. Go through the next door and down the winding corridor to eventually find a large door leading to a smaller room with a door ahead and on your right.
Go through the one on the right to reach a dark room with another console. Elvis will run up to the console and begin working on it, more mini-Skedar will appear out of holes in the walls, so you will have to stay sharp, the IR Scanner can help you see them in the dark. Once Elvis is finished with the console, the Cetan megaweapon will be disabled and you will have completed objective 2.
3. Escape from Cetan Ship
You will now have to find Dr Caroll and escape from the ship, go back into the smaller room and through the door on the right. You should find another teleportal, walk up to it to teleport to the main control room. Once you reappear, head through the door in front of you to enter the control room and find Dr Caroll. A cutscene will play showing Joanna restoring Dr Caroll's personality, Dr Caroll will then stay and offer to destroy the entire ship. Once the game continues, you will be back outside in the corridor with the first teleportal on your left. You will only have a minute to escape before the ship blows, so quickly rush around the right back to the main corridor.
Once you open the door, three guards will attack from the opening leading down to the teleportal controls, ignore them and rush past back up to the main entrance. Rush past the dead Skedar and through the two large metal doors to complete the mission.
Special Agent
1. Reactivate teleportals
Once you begin in the ante-chamber, switch on the IR Scanner and take out the Shotgun. Head down the tunnel, through the first large door, then wait at the second for Elvis. Open it and head into the large cavern, chase the guards around and try to take them down quickly with Shotgun blasts, Elvis will help with his FarSight. Finish all the guards in the cavern off before moving on, but do not worry if you have taken damage as a shield will be available soon. Head through the large door on the side of the Cetan ship, go up to the next one and switch to double-blast.
Open the door and fire at the two guards, hopefully you will at least take one down. Rush into the corridor, go left and take down the guard there, then finish off the one behind you near the dead Skedar. Switch off the IR Scanner then head down the ramp at the end of the corridor. Quickly catch the first patrolling guard, then finish off the other two around the corner, remember, Elvis can help out with his FarSight. If you are low on health, head through the large door ahead and around the left to find the shield, otherwise pick it up on your way to the first teleportal. Head down the ramp into the darker area, blast the guards here and go around to the first sealed door.
Wait for Elvis to catch up, then turn around and fire one shot (from the CMP150) into the small lantern-shaped object in the alcove opposite the door to open it, then head through and pound the guards patrolling the corridors. Go right to the end of the corridor and shoot the lantern on the ground to open the next door, go through, then go right down to the end of the corridor connected to the teleportal room, and look into the right alcove. Shoot the lantern to get the final door open, then head into the teleportal control room, blast the three guards, then once Elvis has reactivated the teleportals you will have completed objective 1.
2. Disable Cetan megaweapon
This time you will be venturing into the core of the ship to disable the megaweapon. Once Elvis begins working on the teleportal controls, head back into the large corridor and through the door on the left. Pick up the shield down the left corridor (if you have not already done so), then head down the right corridor and down the end of the hallway to the first teleportal. Walk up to it, then once you reappear you will be in a small room and Elvis will give you his FarSight. Take out the CMP150 and switch to the lock-on function, then head through the door. You will be in a huge circular room with a bridge spanning the gigantic hole, three guards will be patrolling around, make sure you knock them down quickly as they will try to knock the unarmed Elvis down.
Head across the bridge a go over to the next door. Go through the hallway and through the next door. You will now be in a large hallway with a teleportal on the left and a door on the right. Two guards will be patrolling and a third will be over in a small alcove. Blast all three and go over to the alcove. Look through the large window down into the massive room, down below is the core. Go through the green door and you will be in a room which slowly slopes downward with a spiraling ramp. Head down, but every time you reach a corner, slowly look around as some guards will be stationed on the corners, blast them before they fire at Elvis.
Keep going down the ramp, eventually you will reach another green door. Wait for Elvis to arrive then head through. You will now be in the gargantuan vertical circular room with the core at the center. Elvis will run over to the control console by the core, go and stand behind him once he begins working and switch on the IR Scanner. Look out onto the two ramps leading over to the walls of the room, the one just behind Elvis and the one near the door you came through. At the circular alcoves at the end of the ramps, mini-Skedar will begin to appear one by one and charge at you and Elvis.
Watch both alcoves, one will send out more Skedar than the other, use the lock-on function of the CMP150 to blast them easily, just make sure that none get near you or Elvis. Once Elvis has finished with the console the megaweapon will be disabled and you will have completed objective 2.
3. Secure control room
Elvis will now take out his Phoenix and head back to the door. Finish off any remaining mini-Skedar and go back to the door with Elvis. Quickly dash back up the ramps, then once back out in the corridor, head straight over to the teleportal on the other side to teleport to the control room. Once you reappear, you will be in the small room beside the control room, this time two Mr Blonde's with K7's will be guarding Dr Caroll. Open the door and quickly blast them with the CMP150, Elvis will also help you take them down. Once both guards are down you will gain control of the command room and have completed objective 3.
4. Escape from Cetan Ship
Walk up to Dr Caroll to watch the clip where Joanna restores his personality, then once the clip ends (or once you press A to skip it), you will have a minute to escape before the ship blows. You will be back out of the control room in the corridor with the first teleportal, head through the door on the right, then go around the hallway and through the door opposite the window of the control room. Just above the opening leading to the teleportal controls are three guards, there might also be two cloaked guards, just rush past them and head back up the ramp. Go past the dead Skedar and through the two large doors to complete the mission.
Perfect Agent
1. Reactivate teleportals
This time you will be delving even deeper into the ship to manually disable the megaweapon. Once you begin, switch on the IR Scanner, then head forward down the large tunnel. Go through the first large door, then go up to the next one and wait for Elvis to catch up. Open it, you should spot three cloaked guards running around in the large cavern. Move around and try to let Elvis blast some of them, the guards will be difficult to knock down and they are very accurate with their Shotguns.
Once the three visible guards are down, head into the large cavern and go over to the side of the Cetan ship on the right. Slowly edge forward until you can see another guard over behind a large boulder on the left, then pop him in the head to knock him down. A second guard will rush down from the door on the side of the ship ahead, just wait for Elvis to knock him down. Take out the Shotgun and head over to the large door on the side of the ship ahead. Open the first door, then walk up to the second and wait for Elvis. Open the door and try to hit the two guards ahead with a double-blast, hide behind the door if they fire.
Elvis should fire at them, two other guards will appear from the left and right, try to finish them off or wait for Elvis to blast them. The final guard might drop a Proximity Mine, pick it up for later use. Try not to take too much damage in this first part of the mission. Switch off the IR Scanner and head down the corridor past the dead Skedar on the right. Take out the Falcon 2 and zoom in on the guard at the base of the sloping corridor. Pop him, then head down to the bottom and edge around the corner. You will spot two other guards above the opening in the wall leading to the teleportal control room. Pop them as well or wait for Elvis to deal with them. Once they are down, grab the ammo the guards dropped, take out the CMP150 and head over to the opening in the left wall.
Go down and quickly blast the guard patrolling in the corridor. Wait for Elvis, then head straight forward. Go up the corridor on the left to find the first sealed door. Look in the small alcove opposite the door to find the lantern-shaped switch on the ground. Shoot it once to open the door. Once it opens, quickly dash to the side of the door, as several guards will be down the next corridor. Elvis will easily finish them all off for you. Head through the door and straight ahead to find the next lantern-lock on the ground. Shoot it to open the door, then wait for Elvis to blast the two guards down the next corridor. Head right, keep going past the door until you reach a dead-end, look into the right alcove to find the last lantern-lock.
Shoot it, then head back down the corridor and go through the second opening on the right. Go straight ahead to find the teleportal control room. Two guards and a Mr Blonde will run down from the top of the ramp, quickly lock onto them and blast them, if Elvis arrives he will help you mow them down. Grab their ammo, once Elvis says "Time to reactivate those teleportals," quickly leave the room and head back up to the main corridor so that you can dodge the two cloaked guards that appear there. Once back in the large corridor (plant the Proximity mine on the wall to blow the two cloaked guards), head left, through the door, then around the right and straight ahead to find the first teleportal. By the time you reach it Elvis will have finished working on the controls and objective 1 will be complete.
2. Disable Cetan megaweapon
Head over to the first teleportal to teleport to the next area. Once you reappear, Elvis will be with you and will give you his FarSight. He will be now using his Phoenix so he can still defend himself. Go through the door ahead to find the huge circular room with three guards patrolling around. Quickly lock on and blast the first two, then head across the long bridge and knock down the second one on the other side. They might fire at Elvis so you will have to be quick. Go through the next door, then head down the hallway and open the door at the end. You will now be in the long room with the door on the right leading down to the core of the ship. Quickly lock onto the guard patrolling closest to you and knock him down, then blast the other two.
You will find that the door leading down to the core is locked, but the teleportal opposite it is active. Walk up to it to teleport to the next area. You will now be in a new area full of rooms with tall green pillars that you must destroy to disable the megaweapon. As you pass through each room, mini-Skedar will attack, so it is best to use the FarSight to destroy the pillars before you enter the room. Take it out and walk up to the door ahead. Look through into the next room and scan around the walls. Five pillars are lined up around the walls of the circular room, fire a single shot into each to destroy them.
Once all five are gone, open the door and head through the room over to the next door. Go down the corridor and around the corner, then quickly take out the CMP150. A mini-Skedar will charge at you from ahead, lock onto it and blast it before it can lunge at you. Keep going forward, then head left and down the corridor to find the next door. Take out the FarSight and look through the door into the next corridor. Zoom in to find a gun turret on the roof further down, shoot it once to destroy it. Open the door and head down the corridor, round the corner and walk up to the next door. Aim through the door and you will spot a single large pillar in the center of the next room. Shoot it once to destroy it. Open the door and head in. Several mini-Skedar will be on the ground near you, quickly head over to the next door and take out the CMP150.
Ahead in the next corridor is a mini-Skedar, blast it, then go over to the corner ahead and turn around. About three or four mini-Skedar will be following you, lock onto each and blast them all. Once they stop coming, head over to the next door at the end of the corridor. Take out the FarSight and look through to find the next pillar. Shoot it once, then head into the room and go over to the next door. Head through down the short corridor up to the next door. Look through and blow the pillar, head in, then go through the door just to the left. Go into the long hallway but stop just as you enter. Ahead you will spot another gun turret on the roof, aim and shoot it down.
Keep going down the hallway right to the end, then from here, look through to the next room and destroy the pillar, then keep zooming in and look through the next corridor to find a second room with a pillar. Destroy it, then zoom out and head back down the long hallway. Halfway down you will spot a now-open doorway on the left wall, head through and go up to the door at the end. Look up, zoom in and look into the next room. On the roof is another turret, shoot it down then enter the room. Stand in the center, then look to the right and zoom in to look through the wall. Zoom in further and you will find a small concealed room with a small pillar and a mini-Skedar inside. Shoot the pillar, then zoom out and look through the wall on the opposite side of the room to find the final pillar. Destroy it to finally disable the megaweapon to complete objective 2.
3. Secure control room
Now to find Dr Caroll. Once the pillars are destroyed, the door ahead opposite the door you came through will open and reveal a teleportal. Walk up to it to teleport to the room just outside the control room. Zoom in and look into the room, you will spot Dr Caroll inside with two Mr Blonde guards. Shoot the guard on the left, then once the second one charges, quickly take out the CMP150 and finish him off to secure the control room to complete objective 3, remember that Elvis will also provide you with cover fire if he can see the guards.
4. Restore Dr. Caroll's personality
Press Start and select the Backup disk from your inventory. Walk up to Dr Caroll to play the cutscene in which Joanna restores Dr Caroll's personality before he offers to destroy the Cetan. Once the cutscene begins you will have completed objective 4.
5. Escape from Cetan Ship
Once the cutscene ends, you will have a minute to escape from the ship before it blows. You will be out in the corridor with the first teleportal, quickly head through the door on the right and go around the corner ahead. Go through the large door on the left, you will now be back in the corridor with the opening leading down to the teleportal control room. Two cloaked guards (if you didn't see them before or didn't blow them up) as well as three other guards will be here, fire away at them and strafe past, if you get hit just keep going. The three non-cloaked guards will be running around erratically, they shouldn't hit you at all. Dash back up the ramp, round the corner and head through the door beyond the dead Skedar.
Go through the second door to escape back out into the subterranean cavern to complete the mission. This one's not as tough as previous missions, the hardest part will be taking on the cloaked Shotgun guards, but Elvis' firepower will greatly help you out in this mission.
Elvis really shows his worth with his FarSight in this mission
There is not much to do in this lift area
Go down the tall corridors and take a peek through the glass walls
Wait for Elvis at the end before opening this door
Once inside this cavern use the IR Scanner to spot the cloaked guards
Clear all the enemies and head inside the giant ship
Watch out for the pack of Shotgun-weilding guards inside
One guard may drop some mines
Walk on past the dead Skedar and down the slope
Guards patrol the corridor at the base of the ramp
Elvis will take these guards down easily with his FarSight
Make sure Elvis keeps up, he works wonders in a firefight
Go down into the dark opening in the wall to find a maze
Shoot the blocks in the alcoves to open the doors
Wait for Elvis to help you out against these guards
Explore the area to find you way through
Clear this room so Elvis can reactivate the teleportals
Wait for him to work his way into the ship's systems
Be wary of these cloaked guards back at the entrance of the maze
Go through the large green door and head right to find the teleportal
Walk up to it to teleport to another part of the ship
Elvis will give you his FarSight, use it to give him cover in this room
Cross this corridor and use the FarSight to pick off the guards in the following room
Take as many down as you can before Elvis runs through
You will need to go down to the core in Special Agent
Head over to the grey console and wait for Elvis
Elvis can disable the megaweapon from here on Special Agent
Protect him from the mini-Skedar that charge in from all directions
On Perfect Agent you will go through a series of tunnels
Use the FarSight to destroy the wall panels and gun turrets here
Shoot these central pillars from afar before going inside
The mini-Skedar stand around the pillars, make them wish they did not
The final room has two hidden pillars on either side, destroy both
You will eventually reach the control room, take down both Mr Blondes
Dr. Caroll does not look too good. Insert the disk to restore him
Despite some trouble, Dr. Caroll manages to fix himself up
Dr. Caroll pleads with Joanna to leave while he destroys the ship
You will only have a minute to escape before everything blows
New guards will try to stop you here, rush past them quickly
Fly out the large doors to evacuate the Cetan ship
Dr. Caroll sends the vessel to oblivion
