5.2 Air Force One - Antiterrorism
Agent
1. Locate President
Depending on where you finished off in the previous mission, you will start in one of two locations. If you went up the ladder on the underside of the plane at the Air Base, you will be down in the cargo area of the plane, and if you went in the Shuttle, you will be on the mid level of the plane. If you start out in the cargo area, turn around and head through the door beyond the hover bike (if you want, head through the other door, knock out the brown technician to grab his key card, then activate the switch near the hover bike so that it will appear in the next mission). You will now be in the kitchen area of the plane.
On the other side of the room will be a small food chute/elevator. Walk over and activate the switch on the wall to call it down, then crouch down and climb in. Once you reach the upper level, jump out and head through the door in front of you. This room is where you will start out if you went in the Shuttle in the previous mission. Once you go through into the next room, you will notice a large staircase leading up to the next floor. Go up it, then go around the left side of the stairs once at the top.
Turn left again and go along the wall of the plane until you reach a door. Open it to find the President inside the room. Once he and Joanna finish speaking, a cutscene will play showing a Skedar craft attaching itself to AFO. Once you return to the game you will have completed objective 1.
2. Get President to escape capsule
You will now have to safely get the President to the escape capsule in the cargo area of the plane. Take out the Laptop Gun and head out the other door near where the President is standing. Rush out and back down the staircase, but be careful, as there'll most likely be a few NSA guards around. Just make sure that no guards shoot the President. Head back into the room where the food chute/elevator is and you should notice the tunnel connecting the Skedar ship to AFO on the left. Make sure no guards are inside, then head through the next door beyond the food chute. Go through the next door and you will be in a larger passenger area with two NSA guards.
Blast them both and continue on. Head through the next small room then through the next door into the second passenger area. Right at the end of the room will be two Mr Blonde's next to Trent Easton. Easton'll run away laughing, just ignore him and blast the two guards. You will probably be low on ammo, try to grab a few K7's the guards drop. Once Trent has gone, head through the door he retreated through and blast the guards at the end of the hallway. Once they are gone, head in and you should spot a trapdoor on the right. If it isn't open, open it and head down. Open the door in front of the ladder and you will see the escape capsule straight ahead. Blast the guard standing by it, then make sure the President gets into the capsule safely to complete objective 2.
3. Detach UFO from Air Force One
Once the President is safe by the capsule, head back up to the tunnel connecting the two ships together. On the way there you might confront more guards, make sure you knock them down before they cause too much damage. Once you reach the tunnel, take out your Timed Mine and throw it into the tunnel. Once it explodes, (watch the invisible guards fly!) you will have completed the mission.
Special Agent
1. Locate and retrieve equipment
Completing the Air Base mission by climbing up the ladder under the plane will greatly benefit you in SA and PA. Once you begin in the cargo bay area, head through the door in front of you. You should spot the brown-clothed technician at the rear of the next room, go up to him, knock him out and grab the key card he drops. Activate the switch by the crate on the left to raise the cargo bay within the fenced-off area. Once it is fully raised you will see the suitcase on it. Walk onto the platform and grab the suitcase to retrieve your equipment, to complete objective 1.
2. Locate President
Head back out of the room and go to the end of the room you started in. Activate the switch near the hover bike to lower it down to the cargo bay so that it will be available in the next mission. Head through the next door into the kitchen, then knock out the steward. Head over to the food chute on the other side of the room, activate the switch and wait for it to come down. Crouch down and enter, then head up to the next level. Once the door opens, jump out and you will be on the center level of the plane.
Go through the door ahead, ignore the guards that call out and climb up the staircase. Once at the top, head around to the left and along the wall of the plane over to the door, enter the room to find the President. Once you show the evidence to the President of Trent's scheme and once the cutscene of the Skedar ship attaching itself to AFO ends, you will have completed objective 2.
3. Get President to escape capsule
Take out the Laptop Gun and head out of the room. The President will automatically follow you, head down the stairs and through the door to the room with the food chute and the tunnel on the left side leading to the Skedar ship. Be careful and blast any NSA guards around here, you will not have much room to move so just charge at them and knock them down before they can fire. Wait for the President to catch up, then head into the first passenger seating room. Quickly zoom in and pop off the two guards in there, then head over to the next door. Go through to the next passenger room, then quickly pick off the two Mr Blonde guards at the far end of the room beside Trent.
Try to go for head shots, and if you run low on Laptop Gun ammo, just use the K7 Avenger. Knock down both guards, let Trent run off, then head through the door he escaped through. Zoom in and blast the guards at the end of the hallway, wait for any that come out of the trapdoor, then head down the trapdoor on the right and go through the door at the bottom of the ladder. Knock down the guard by the escape capsule, then wait for the President, once he catches up he will run over to the escape capsule and you will have completed objective 3.
4. Detach UFO from Air Force One
Head back up to the food chute room with the tunnel, then throw the Timed Mine into the tunnel. Once it blows you will have completed the mission. If any more guards are around shoot them before throwing the mine.
Perfect Agent
1. Locate and retrieve equipment
Make sure you start out in the cargo bay area, if you have not, replay Air Base on Agent and finish the mission by going up the ladder of AFO's underside. Once you begin in the cargo bay area, head through the door in front of you. Go up to the brown technician in the corner of the next room and knock him out to get his key card. Activate the console on the left wall to bring up the cargo, then grab the suitcase on top of the cargo platform to complete objective 1.
2. Locate President
Leave the room and head over past the hover bike in the next room. Activate the switch on the wall so that the hover bike will be available in the next mission, then head through one of the two doors into the kitchen. Knock out the steward, then head over to the food chute and call it down. Crouch right down and head into the food chute, then ride it up to the next floor. Head out of the food chute and enter the next room ahead. Ignore the guards that call out and quickly head up the stairs ahead.
Once at the top, go around left and along the corridor up to the door. Enter the room to find the President. While the President is speaking, take out a Combat Boost, then once the cutscene of the Skedar ship attaching itself to AFO ends, Joanna will tell the President to follow her and objective 2 will be complete.
3. Get President to escape capsule
Before taking the President to the escape capsule, we'll go and save the pilots for objective 4. Head out of the room via the door behind the President, then go past the guard standing there and keep going past the staircase over to the corner. Activate a Boost and take out the Laptop Gun. Open the door on the wall to find the control room, quickly pop the guard in the head inside when he runs at you. Grab his K7, then head forward into the next room. Go in and open the next door to find the cockpit. Quickly zoom in and pop the guard on the left, then pop the second one on the right. Grab their weapons then head back over to the staircase.
The boost will run out, head down the stairs and get ready to blast any NSA guards here. The gray-clothed guards here with Cyclones will help take down the NSA guards. Once you are clear, head through to the room where the Skedar ship is docked, the two guards in the passenger room ahead might come through the doors beyond the food chute, quickly mow them down, otherwise go ahead, open the door and pop them both - more of the AFO guards might also take them down. Always try to go for head shots, you can waste an entire clip on one guard and still not take them down, so always aim up.
Head through the first passenger room and go through to the next small room connecting to the other passenger room where Trent is. Another guard might come through the door ahead, make sure you blast him before moving on. Once you are clear, open the door on the left and slowly edge around the door until you can see the Mr Blonde to the right of Trent. Quickly zoom in and pop him before he can hit you, otherwise hide and wait for him to stop firing before emerging. Once he is down, go around to the right door and open it. Slowly edge around the left side until you can see the other Mr Blonde, zoom in and quickly pop him.
Make sure the door behind the second Mr Blonde closes, so that the guards inside will not see you. Run over and grab the K7's the guards dropped, then take it out (you will be low on Laptop Gun ammo). Go over to the door on the left (the one Trent ran through), then open it and zoom in. Two guards will be ahead above the trapdoor, one below near the ladder leading down to the cargo bay area, and one in the room with the escape capsule.
Once the first guard that spots you stops running around, quickly pop him, then the other guard should appear. Blast him, then wait for the other two guards to appear from below. Knock them down before they hit you. With the four guards down, quickly head over to the trapdoor ahead on the right, go down, open the door ahead, then go and open the door of the escape capsule for the President. Once he runs in there you will have completed objective 3.
4. Secure Air Force One flight path
You will now have to go and secure AFO's flight path. If you have saved the pilots from being killed, they will eventually stabilize the plane once it begins to descend after you have planted the mine in the tunnel (you will hear the plane going down) and objective 4 will be complete, but if the pilots do get shot by the guards (do everyone a favour and save the pilots, do not turn this game into your usual "plane gets hijacked by terrorists, pilots are always killed" type movie), you will have to get up to the cockpit and activate the button on the control console to engage the autopilot to complete objective 4.
5. Detach UFO from Air Force One
If you have already saved the pilots and you have just left the President in the escape capsule, head back up and over to the tunnel connecting the Skedar ship to AFO. On the way you might encounter a guard, stay alert and quickly mow him down before he hits you. Once you reach the first passenger room connected to the room with the tunnel, wait here and listen for gunfire. If there are NSA guards inside the room firing at the AFO guards, open the door and help the AFO guards mow down the NSA guards, then once you are clear, quickly take out the Timed Mine and throw it into the tunnel.
Once it blows you will have completed objective 5. Now you will have to wait a few more seconds for the plane to either engage the autopilot or for the pilots to stabilize the plane, take out the K7 again and head back into the passenger room. Wait here for the mission to finish, if any guards come through the door to find you, quickly mow them down. Once the plane's stabilized the mission will be complete. This is another tough mission, it will be very easy to lose all your health, just remember the tactics described above and keep an eye on your back for any guards chasing you from behind.
Starting off down in the cargo hold allows you to easily retrieve the equipment.
Knock this guy out and grab his key card
Call up the platform and grab the suitcase for your equipment
Send down this Hover Bike so it will be available in the next mission
Knock out the steward before he runs off to raise the alarm
Call down the food chute and hop in
Once at the top head through this door
Ignore the guards when they call out and dash up the stairs
You will need to move quickly to avoid their Cyclone fire
Dash around the corner at the top and go through that door to find the President
You will need to convince the President you are one of the good guys
Joanna shows him the evidence of Trent's scheme
Now you will be in for some trouble, the Skedar ship's boarding party are not friendly
Quickly activate a Combat Boost and head for the cockpit
While in slow-motion, blast the two guards in here before they harm the pilots
Save the pilots and you will not have to worry about setting the autopilot
Otherwise you will have to hit this red button later on
Lead the President down the stairs and watch out for hostiles
They will come through this door often to ruin your day
Grab the keycards the white guards drop to find yourself two Cyclones
Carefully head down the cabin area while keeping an eye out
Trent's in the cabin beyond that door flanked by two Mr. Blondes
Take down the Mr. Blondes and wait for Trent to laugh his way out
Do not follow Trent yet, wait for him to disappear
Zoom in and take these enemies out from afar
Wait until the coast is clear before going through the trapdoor
Go downside to find the escape pod for the President
Open up this door and wait for the President to go inside
Now it is time to deal with the Skedar shuttle attached to AFO
Watch out for straggling enemies in the cabin areas
There is no time to sit and watch the in-flight movie
Follow up on Joanna's idea, throw the Timed Mine inside the tunnel
The mine damages the tunnel but does not take it out
If the pilots survived they will stabilize the plane
Elvis tries to break the shuttle off himself in his saucer
