4.3 Area 51 - Escape
Agent
1. Rendezvous with CI spy
Once you start the mission you will be in the outer lab area holding on to Elvis' bed-stretcher. The entire lab area as well as the long corridor will be filled with nerve gas, so you will need to quickly get out of there. Just remember to never press B as you will let go of Elvis. Walk up to the door in front of you, it will open automatically, then go through the next one. Head down the hallway and into the main corridor. Once there, head right and you should be confronted by two bio-technicians. Quickly blast them both, then head over to the brown door at the end of the corridor. You will need to be close to it before it opens automatically, so strafe and sidestep up to it. Go through and head down the ramp, then sidestep up to the door to open it. You will now be in a small room, walk forward and you will let go of Elvis. Jonathan will tell you to meet up with him, so head back up the ramp into the main corridor.
Once there, head into the cryo-room on the right. Inside are two more bio-technicians, blast them both before continuing on. Once they are down, head around to the rear of the circular room and head down the long ramp. Open the door at the end and head in to the next room. Go right and blast the three guards that appear, and do not forget to grab their SuperDragons. Take one out, then head through door at the other end of the room. You will now be on a metal bridge spanning a large outdoor canyon. Two guards will be on the bridge, blast them both and head to the other end of the bridge. Open the door there and head in. Jonathan will be on the right in a small alcove, he will call out to you, then once he says, "We need to get back to our friend," you will have completed objective 1.
2. Locate secret hangar
Jonathan will then follow you back across the bridge, quickly head back out and back to the room with the explosive barrels. Just before you reach the door, switch to grenade launcher and open the door. Four guards will be standing inside, fire a grenade at their feet to knock them all down. You will need to be quick so that Jonathan does not run in and get caught in the blast. Wait in the room, then once Jonathan arrives he will go over to the wall opposite the door. Stand behind him and aim at the door, still with the grenade launcher active. While Jonathan works on the wall, guards will probably come through the door, just fire a grenade at the bridge just outside the door to knock them down. Once Jonathan finishes, he will run over to a corner, so back well away from the wall, as it will then explode. Head through the opening in the wall to complete objective 2.
3. Escape from Area 51
You will now be in a large hangar, similar to the ones you went through in Infiltration. You will be up on a catwalk, blast the guard straight ahead, then head down the ramp. Just under the ramp is a door leading to the room where you left Elvis, head in and a cutscene will begin. Elvis will wake up and introduce himself, then once the game continues, the three of you will be in the room together. Head back out and go around to the main hangar doors. A Maian Saucer will be there, if any guards begin coming down the ramp, quickly blast them as Jonathan will go after them. Once Elvis and Jonathan come around to the saucer they will begin saying that only two of you can fit in the saucer, Jonathan will then offer to open the hangar doors and escape on a hover bike.
There are now two ways you can complete this mission, the first is if you let Jonathan run back up the ramp and over to the two consoles beyond the metal bridge up to the right of the saucer. Jonathan takes time activating the consoles, so once he gets to the top of the ramp, rush up past him and active one or both of the consoles to finish the mission. The other way is if you stop Jonathan before he reaches the ramp, then Joanna will tell him to go with Elvis. If you do this, head up and activate both consoles. Once the saucer leaves, head back down over to the ramp. You should see the hover bike opposite the door leading to Elvis' room, jump on and head into the room where Elvis was waiting on the stretcher. Fly up the ramp and back into the main corridor.
Zoom down the long corridor, past the wall you blew open in the previous mission, and up the long ramp. Once there, head right down the ramp until you reach another large room filled with guards. Head over to the left corner of the room to a door that opens automatically. Head through and up the next ramp. Blast any guards that get in your way, then head through the next door into a larger room with more guards. Head left past the two diagonal beams, blast the guard in front of the door and head through. Go around the corner and the next door will open, leading outside to where the radio antenna is. Head out to complete the mission.
Special Agent
1. Rendezvous with CI spy
Once you begin head out into the main corridor, just make sure that you do not press B otherwise you will let go of Elvis' stretcher. Once out in the main corridor, head right and go right to the end. Blast both bio-technicians, just try not to get hit (go for head shots). Once they are done head through the brown door at the end, remember to sidestep up next to it to open it. Head down the ramp and through the next door to drop off Elvis in the small room by the hangar. This time Jonathan will be hiding further inside the base so you will have to explore a bit to find him. Head back up the ramp and out to the main corridor. Go into the right cryo room and around the back to the ramp, blast the two bio-technicians along the way.
Head through door at the bottom of the ramp and go into the barrel-filled room. Pick up the remote mines in the corner (if it is there), then grab the guards' attention and hide behind the wall, pick them off with head shots when they come around. Go into the room and head through the door on the left. Go across the metal bridge over the canyon and blast the two guards along the way, once on the other side, you will notice that Jonathan is not in the small alcove he was in, in the Agent mode. Use a grenade from the SuperDragon to blow open the window in front of the alcove, then go up to the console and activate it. Head around the next corner, blast the guard up against the wall, then open up the small containment lab door on the right. Grab the shield on top of the barrels and head back out. Go down the long hallway with many doors, eventually you will see a guard in front of one, blast him and go down the opening on the right wall.
Head around the corner, blast the guard, then go into the next large room. Zoom in and blast the guard at the other end, then make your way over to the opening in the corner. You will now be in a room with several blue mainframes around, Jonathan is in the left corner as you enter the room. He will call out to you, then once you go up to him and he says, "We need to get back to our friend," you will have completed objective 1.
2. Locate secret hangar
Once Jonathan begins following you, a door on the opposite corner of the room will open and three guards will come in. Use a grenade from the SuperDragon to knock them down easily, grab their ammo, then head out the way you came in. Once you reach the hallway with doors, from behind the door that the guard was standing in front of, several guards will appear and rush at you, again, shoot a grenade near them to blow them all down, or use a Remote Mine (if you have them). Head back down the hallway toward the bridge over the canyon, just take it slowly and make sure that Jonathan follows you, if he spots any guards he will waste time firing at them. Once you reach the bridge, dash across quickly, then open the door leading to the barrel-filled room and fire a grenade at the ground where the four guards are standing.
Once Jonathan arrives he will go over to the wall leading to the secret hangar and begin working on it. Stand behind him facing the door with the grenade launcher active, if any guards come through blast a grenade at the ground to easily knock them down. Once Jonathan finishes and runs off, move away from the wall and wait for it to blow. Once it blows, head into the hangar to complete objective 2.
3. Revive Maian bodyguard
Blast the guard ahead on the catwalk, then quickly drop off the ramp and head into the room where Elvis is hiding. Once there, take out the Alien medpack and press Z while up against Elvis to activate it. The unit will take a while reviving him, so take out the SuperDragon and head back up to the hole in the wall. Jonathan will probably be firing at guards, help him out and blast them all before they knock him out. After about ten seconds, head back down to Elvis and wait for the unit to finish, once it does the cutscene will begin and you will have completed objective 3.
4. Escape from Area 51
Regardless of where Jonathan is, once the cutscene ends he will be in the room with you and Elvis. Head out and go over past the ramp and around the corner. Look up the ramp and blast any guards coming out of the hole, make sure Jonathan runs around the corner and does not fire at any guards. Cover Elvis as he runs around, then once they both reach the Maian Saucer, head over to them and they will begin speaking. Look up at the console on the left up on the catwalk and you should see a guard there, blast him before he spots you, then watch the corner leading to the ramp for any more guards coming, blast them if they appear.
Once Jonathan offers to open the hangar doors, either cover him as he goes up to the consoles, then run ahead of him and activate both to complete the mission, or stop him and activate the consoles, then escape from the base on the hover bike out the front entrance to complete the mission.
Perfect Agent
1. Locate alien tech medpack
you are nearly out of the A51 missions, but this final one is still a tough mission. After depositing Elvis in the containment lab, you will need to go and find the alien tech medpack used to revive him. Once you begin, push the stretcher forward and leave the lab. Head down the hallway and go back out to the main corridor. Head right, once you reach the cryo room area, quickly zoom in and pop the first bio-technician ahead. Ignore the second one on the left, then head forward over to the brown door ahead. Go through, just make sure the stretcher does not get caught on the walls, then head down the long sloping corridor on the left. Sidestep up to the door at the bottom to open it and leave Elvis inside the small room. Head back up the corridor and switch to Disarm.
Once you spot the second bio-technician, quickly run up to him and disarm him, if you hit him from behind he will fall over with one punch. Grab his Tranquilizer and head over to the cryo room on the right. Take out the Tranquilizer and open the door to the cryo room. If you cannot see either bio-technician inside yet, move to the side to spot one, then quickly pump three shots into him to knock him out, then quickly do the same to the other. If you get hit, you will lose a tiny bit of health but you will be dazed, so run around in the cryo room until it wears off. Take out the Falcon 2 and head down the ramp at the back of the cryo room. Open the door, then quickly dash forward and grab the Remote Mine ahead (you will need to have taken Elvis to the containment lab in under 36 seconds). Grab the attention of one of the guards in the next room, then quickly dash back up the ramp and face the door.
Once a guard is in view, quickly pop him, then pop the second one that appears. If the door closes on them, you will have to open it again as it will be locked on the other side. With two guards down, head into the room, a third guard is just up against the wall on the left, lure him over to the door and finish him off. Make sure you grab all the SuperDragons the guards drop, then head over to the door opposite the wall leading to the secret hangar. Head through, then carefully lean out to face the guard over on the bridge ahead. Zoom in and pop him quickly before he hits you. A second guard will appear further back and will dash across the bridge toward you, crouch right down and pop him in the head.
Grab the two SuperDragons on the ground, then take it out and head over to the door across the bridge. Switch to grenade launcher and head inside. Fire a grenade ahead at the base of the glass wall on the right wall, then once it shatters and the explosion dies down, go into the alcove and activate the console on the wall. Head around the next corner, then quickly fire a grenade at the guard standing next to the door on the right wall. Once he is down, open the door and pick up the alien medpack on top of the barrels to complete objective 1.
2. Rendezvous with CI spy
Jonathan will be waiting for you in the mainframe room. Head over through the hallway opposite the medpack's room, once you spot a guard standing up against a door ahead, quickly fire a grenade at him to knock him down. Keep going forward and take out a Remote Mine. Once you reach the final door that leads to the large hangar leading to the showers, plant a mine on the ground in front of the door, then plant a second one a little further forward into the hallway on the ground. Take out the SuperDragon again, then head through the opening on the side of the hallway. Go around the first corner and quickly fire a grenade at the guard standing there, then switch back to primary fire and head out to the larger room with the hole in the center. Zoom in on the guard across the room and pop him before he can hit you. Switch to grenade launcher, then head around to the mainframe room to find Jonathan in the left corner. Once he begins following you you will have completed objective 2.
3. Locate secret hangar
Aim over at the door in the other corner of the room and fire a grenade at the floor there to knock down the three guards that appear there. Grab their ammo, then take out the Remote Mine again. Head back over to the hallway where you planted the two mines. Stand at the opening of the hallway leading to the mainframe room, then move forward to open the door ahead. Several guards will have appeared at the opening to the hangar, quickly detonate the mines to blow them all. Grab all the ammo they dropped, then take out the SuperDragon with the grenade launcher active. Turn around and wait for Jonathan to catch up. Begin heading across the hallway through the doors, once you reach the end where the room containing the medpack was, turn around the corner and fire a grenade at the floor to blast the guard standing there. Wait here for Jonathan to catch up, once he appears through the door ahead, quickly head out into the canyon bridge and head across to the other door. Open it and quickly fire a grenade at the ground inside to blow the four guards standing there.
Head in and wait for Jonathan to arrive. Once he reaches the room he will go over to the wall and begin working on it. Stand behind him while facing the door he just came through, aim at the balcony just outside the door. The door should close automatically, if it opens again quickly fire a grenade out onto the balcony to blast the guard there. Keep an eye out for more guards appearing at the door, but once Jonathan calls for you to stand back, do so. Go up to the door and close it, then turn around and wait for the wall to explode. Once the explosion dies down head through the opening into the secret hangar to complete objective 3.
4. Revive Maian bodyguard
Quickly zoom in and blast the guard across the balcony ahead, now it is time for the hard part. Guards will continue to come through the door leading out to the canyon behind you, others will also appear over at the door leading up to the cryo room. Try to knock down all the guards currently in the room, if any are over by the door leading up the cryo room, use grenades, otherwise just mow them down with primary fire. Once all the guards are gone, Jonathan will follow you, lead him into the secret hangar then quickly drop down off the ramp and head into the containment lab where Elvis is.
Press Start and select the medpack. Walk up to the stretcher and press B or Z to activate it, the medpack will then take about 20 seconds to revive Elvis. Take out the SuperDragon and quickly head back up the ramp to Jonathan, he will probably be firing at more guards, help him take them down. Keep an eye on the messages on the lower part of the screen, once it displays "Alien medpack has been administered," quickly jump down off the ramp and head into Elvis' room to complete objective 4.
5. Escape from Area 51
Some guards might be in the containment lab once the cutscene ends, quickly mow them down and head back out to the hangar. Jonathan will be down here with you, quickly head over toward the Maian Saucer, stop at the base of the ramp and blast any guards up near the hole in the wall. Wait for Jonathan and Elvis to head around to the saucer, then look up at the console on the balcony behind you. Blast the guard standing up there, then head over to Elvis so that they begin speaking, then zoom in on the base of the ramp and blast any guards that appear there.
This time it will really help if you let Jonathan escape on the hover bike, once he runs off, wait for him to reach the top of the ramp and for the music to pick up before chasing ahead of him. Rush past him, ignore any guards at the top of the ramp, then activate both consoles over on the balconies to open the hangar doors to complete the mission. If you stop Jonathan and offer to escape on the hover bike, go up and activate the consoles, then quickly rush down to the hover bike.
Jump on and begin heading through the base toward the foot entrance near the external antenna, just try to mow down any guards that get in your way before they hit you. Once you reach the foot entrance, head outside to complete the mission. A real killer finale to the A51 missions, this one will take you a few tries, especially with the spawning guards in the later part of the mission.
You will need to get out of this gas-filled area fast
Tear down the corridor and Jonathan will tell you the obvious
Get through that door ahead and you are all clear
Turn right and go down the end of the corridor, watch out for these fellas
Go through this brown door and down the sloping hallway
Leave Elvis here and go back up to track Jonathan down
More bio-technicians hide out in the containment lab
Cross this sloping corridor and zip through the door
Watch out for guards in this room, the Tranquilizer works wonders
Catch them off-guard as they reload
Go outside and cross this bridged chasm
You need to access that control panel in there
So use a grenade to blow through the glass
You will now be able to find the medpack in this small storage room
Plant some Remote Mines here to take spawning guards by surprise
Come through here to find Jonathan on Perfect Agent
You will find him in this corner of a room full of mainframes
Turn around and aim at this door
Then fire a grenade as the guards pour in
You will have to wait for Jonathan to catch up, and make sure he does not hang around any guards
Run ahead back to the hangar antechamber room and fire a grenade at the four guards inside
You will need to defend Jonathan as he fiddles with the wall
Keep an eye on this door at all times, guards will eventually come through
Stand back from the wall when Jonathan's finished
Jump through the hole and off the ramp to find this door leading to Elvis
Quickly use the medpack on him and head back up to help Jonathan
Guards keep pouring through into this room, grenades = easy kills
Just make sure Jonathan's not in there anymore
When the medpack's finished go back down to Elvis to wake him up
Keep an eye on Elvis as he runs over to the Maian Saucer
Take out this guard up on the walkway
Wait for Elvis and Jonathan to reach the ship
Elvis describes the situation, only one other can go with him
Watch this corner as they talk, some guards may come around
Stop Jonathan if you want to escape on the Hover Bike yourself
Rush up the ramp and over to this console to open a hangar door
Activate the second console to allow the ship to leave
Jump on the Hover Bike and tear through the corridors
Zip through as fast as you can to avoid the guards
You will find more guards down near the showers
Go through this door in the corner and up the following tunnel
Get the guards out of the way and head through that door
Joanna watches Elvis and Jonathan escape
Drop off the ramp and dive through the door below as guards pour out
Joanna exchanges friendly conversation with Jonathan
