Multiplayer The Scenarios
Normal
This is just you usual game of Goldeneye, nothing special, nothing interesting. Of course, this mode is still lots of fun, and provides plenty of fun and enjoyment.
You Only Live Twice
This setting is short, but fun, if you have four people. With two, it is kind of...short. I once played this game with my brother, and I beat him in less that a minute! The rule is here, if you die twice, you are out of the game. The last person alive wins. Kills do not matter at all.
The Living Daylights (Flag Tag)
This game, while hated by most players of the game, is my personal favorite selection. I'm not really sure why. The deal is here, there is a flag hidden somewhere in the level. If you pick it up, a timer will start. If someone kills you, you drop the flag, your timer stops, someone else picks it up, and their timer starts. And here's the deal: the person with the flag cannot use any weapons! Kills do not matter at all in this setting, which is why most people hate it so much. The only real complaint that I have about this is that the game will not give you your total time, that is, how long you have the flag for. Kind of a drag, since I would like to have some kind of record list, where you could keep track of how long you had the flag. If you really wanted too, you could have someone use stopwatch to keep track of your flag times.
The Man With the Golden Gun
This one is a little complicated, but fun. As you start off, there is a Golden Gun hidden in the level. Once someone gets it, they become Scaramanga, the Man With the Golden Gun, and turn a different color on the radar. As you probably already know, the Golden Gun will kill anyone in one hit, even those of you with body armor. The Man has to kill people with the Golden Gun until they die, then someone else picks it up, and the whole thing starts all over again. Thing is, if you have the Golden Gun, you cannot pick up Body Armor! The scoring in this scenario is the same as in a normal game. The best advice I can give is for the other players to all not shoot each other and gang up on the Man With the Golden Gun. Dang, I just love saying that!
License to Kill
This is, without a doubt, the most popular non-normal (is that a word?) Goldeneye Scenario. The rules are simple, one hit and you are dead, even with body armor. A minute to learn, a lifetime to master! Whoops, wrong game. Anyway, the best strategy here to is to go for fast, automatic weapons, such as the RCP-90, or KF7 Soviet.
Team 2 vs. 2
This is basically your average team game. Two people are on a team, one red team, one blue team. The object of the game is to kill the other teams members as many times as possible. Oh yeah, you lose points if you kill your teammate!
Team: 3 vs. 1
This exciting and fun scenario is another team game. Only this time, it is everybody versus one person! Or, as I like to refer to them, "The Lone Ranger." Anyway, I find this a lot of fun, especially if you are the one! Same thing goes with all team games, you lose a point if you kill your teammates.
Team: 2 vs. 1
This is basically the same as the one above, except this only works if three are playing. There are two, and they gang up on the one. My advice to you is to find another friend so that you can at least play 3 vs. 1, which, in my opinion, is a lot more fun!

The Temple is the first and default multiplayer-only level. It is supposed to be an old abandoned temple, similar to Egyptian. The wide open arena gives the players the ability to easily hit each other and always see each other.

Trivia
- Temple is one of three multiplayer maps from GoldenEye 007 that appear as playable multiplayer levels in Rare's later game Perfect Dark, often described as a spiritual successor to GoldenEye. The others were Complex and Facility (which appeared under the name "Felicity"). While the levels were remodeled with new textures, their layouts remained identical.
- The Temple is the default level for Multiplayer.
- The Temple has a door/wall that appears to be lighter than the others, but it does not open.
- If the player chooses Russian Infantry he/she may have a better chance to blend in with the walls.
Complex, Multiplayer Levels
The Complex is a multiplayer-only level in GoldenEye 007. It is metal-walled, and has vents, and enclosed rooms in the corners of the level. It has the ability to let the player go to an upstairs level or on the level you start on.

The others were Temple and Facility (which appeared under the name "Felicity"). While the levels were remodelled with new textures, their layouts remained identical.
- Using the Janus Marine, the player may be able to blend in with the Complex walls.
- The Complex has hidden hiding spots all around the level.
- The Complex is the only level in GoldenEye to feature a blood red sky, no other level in GoldenEye has this kind of sky.
- At one part of the Complex, ramps go up around the walls. If you aim a gun down into the black void below and shoot at it, it unintentionally makes a splashing sound. This sound can be heard anywhere in GoldenEye 007 where there is water such as Caverns or Dam. If the same is done with the void in Aztec (it is found somewhere after Jaws), this same splashing sound will not be heard.
- Complex is one of the most popular GoldenEye multiplayer maps in the game. Rare's game Banjo-Tooie featured a reskinned and slightly edited version of the Complex multiplayer map. This level could be accessed in "Grunty Industries" in the First Person segment which involves shooting "mud" off of vents. It was also featured in multiplayer as the map taking place in "Glitter Gulch Mine's dynamite storage."
Caves, Multiplayer Levels
Originally based upon the latter half of the Jungle level, the Caves was redesigned to better suit a multiplayer environment. By building on new areas and connecting existing ones through different passages, Caves was born. Unfortunately, it is one of the lesser enjoyed multi maps; many gamers find that the level is either too dark or overly complicated in its layout. Because of those drawbacks, the Caves is likely the least favourite of all the multiplayer stages.
Caves is one of the four 'built for multi' stages included in GoldenEye's multiplayer. It is one of the only to utilize shadows to help players disappear into the background. The architecture lends great potential for intense Grenade Launcher battles. Bouncing grenades off of wall surfaces allows you to reach opponents in other rooms, while staying a safe distance away from their attacks. If you take the time to learn the angles, you will gain deadly accuracy.

Trivia
- This stage was probably originally intended to have a sky. It has a hole in its ceiling open to the outside, but since it does not have a weather block, the sky appears entirely black and cloudless in multiplayer.
Library Basement, Multiplayer Levels
The Basement is a multiplayer level in GoldenEye 007. The Basement has gray walls, gray roofing, and tiled flooring. There are two rooms that have pillars supporting the area, which gives the player under fire a good place to hide. There is another smaller room with four pillars. The ways to the top floor are blocked off by metal bars.

Trivia
- The Basement is underneath the Stack.
- The Janus Marine is suggested in multiplayer use.
- There is a hallway that leads into a respawn room. The hallway is hidden in the shadows.
- There are floors on the ceiling that you can see and shoot through.
Library Stack, Multiplayer Levels
Stack is a multiplayer level in GoldenEye. It is the upper level of the Library in its own. It has all the same features as the Library, except the player cannot access the Basement as it is blocked off by metal bars.

Trivia
- The Stack is the upper portion of the Library.
- The Stack walls resemble those of the Archives.
- The suggested player character for the Stack is the Naval Officer.
Library, Multiplayer Levels
The library is made up of both the Stack and the Basement levels (see above). This makes for a REALLY big level, just perfect for a game of Living Daylights! A little known (and little used) trick is to look through the vents separating the two floors, and fire through them at a player passing by beneath (or above). This can be accomplished by using radar
The Library is a multiplayer level in GoldenEye 007. It has secret doors that lift up and a downstairs and upstairs level. The rooms are empty and pretty wide open. There is an area that has glass walls that are capable of breaking.

Archives, Multiplayer Levels
it is easy to avoid getting lost here, just learn your upstairs from your downstairs. The two "Secret Passages" on the top floor house a body armor, and the selected weapon, so memorize where they are!

Water Caverns, Multiplayer Levels
Another fun level is the Caverns. There is something for everyone here, big rooms, little rooms, hallways, byways, even a few scenic views! If you know the level from one player mode, finding your way around here should be a breeze. One word of advice: avoid the Death Trap! that is the place where the radio is on one player, in Multiplayer, they've filled it with combustible gasses and explosive liquids! If you see someone over there, shoot one of the barrels for an easy kill.
